2009. Photoshop CS4. Full view please!

J. W. Waterhouse meets Disney Princess through ScarletGothica.

ok, it's simply a joke and just for fun! When I saw [link] , [link] , I thought it was an amazing idea!
You only have to search for a Disney original line-art of coloring book for children, take a famous painting for the reference colors and all the rest its' really a cinch!

I love and admire so much J. W. Waterhouse and I remembered his painting, A Mermaid...so, I use that picture for color references and this [link] for the line-art, (I've flipped the picture and adapted to my conception) and I've started to paint...
Well, to be honest Disney's line-arts (especially the new ones) look a bit weird when you color them in a realistic way, but I like the final result after all. :XD:
It took me few hours to finish it, it's a sort of speed painting (even because I don't have so many time to waste for my frenzies ahah!).
To put also a "vintage", or better, a bit frazzled look, I realized a texture that reminds the "craquelure" of old oil paintings.

I hope you enjoy it!
